im planning to buy camera that will satisfy me with affordable price and I have some question to ask for me to understand and I also want to know if i can take quality video from a digicam based from these models. can i take videos from sony DSLR-100K digital camera? does it has better quality? which is better? Sony DSLR-100K digital camera or Sony DSC-H9/B? which has the better image quality and which one has the better zoom?

Before you all ask me “HOW DID U DO SOURCE FILMMAKER IN HL2?!” I just want to acknowledge that these are only the maps. This time I decided not to create the usual in-TF2 videos of Source Filmmaker, as instead I got the Half-life 2 maps and made a “Visual machinima music video type thing” I guess you could call it I really enjoyed making this, Half-Life, its maps, game, and design is very inspiring to me. So I decided to create this! Details: Rendered at 30 FPS TGA files with 8 motion blur passes and at some points 8 Depth of Field passes. It saves files in this stupid format (m2ts) If u can find ANY editing softwares that are NOT Sony Vegas or anything Sony it would be really appreciated. Project Page: www1.cs.columbia.edu In this project, we present a system for refocusing images and videos of dynamic scenes using a novel, single-view depth estimation method. Our method for obtaining depth is based on the defocus of a sparse set of dots projected onto the scene. In contrast to other active illumination techniques, the projected pattern of dots can be removed from each captured image and its brightness easily controlled in order to avoid under- or over-exposure. The depths corresponding to the projected dots and a color segmentation of the image are used to compute an approximate depth map of the scene with clean region boundaries. The depth map is used to refocus the acquired image after the dots are removed, simulating realistic depth of field effects. Experiments on a wide variety of scenes, including close-ups and live action, demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.

Videos done with a canon powershot and long exposure photos done with a Nikon DSLR on bulb mode for some and with a 2nd powershot using the CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit) to get a 64 second exposure for the others. Ben and I video taped our light paintings in the yard for these shots. Enjoy!
