Hambling Lighting HD.mp4

This video is a composite of a series of photographs taken on the Northwest Trunk Lines O scale model railroad. To demonstrate the effect or the layout’s computer controlled lighting system all the photographs were taken with a Nikon DSLR camera with identical settings. No alterations were made to the exposure, aperture, or white balance. The wide range on colors in the sky are the product of a carefully design system that allows any color to be projected onto the backdrop. Also take note that the shows change on the locomotive in the foreground. Again, this effect is no accident.

WITHOUT HER, THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED! That’s right, you heard it! =33 I was at Show me Con 5/Anime St. Louis 2007 and my friend asked if Vic would sing happy b-day to me. I was kinda threw off and forgot I had my digital camera when I asked ‘IN YOUR ED VOICE?!’ and my friend AC said ‘Pretty please’ so.. lol, with out further ado! Sorry about the lighting, my digital camera fails and the lighting in the room wasn’t so good either. I’M JUST LUCKY I GOT IT ON CAMERA! PS I’m cosplaying as L. So that’s why I might look “freaky” as some commenter said. xD

Brushy Run

A fine old time with friends Bill Schmidt (fiddle), his wife Ann Porcella (bass fiddle), John Beam (guitar) and yours truly trying vainly to keep up on banjo. The cheap old Sony camera is on its last legs so apologies for the bad lighting, as well as my inability to recall the names of most of the tunes. This will be my last YouTube upload(s) before replacing the crappy camera. I`m sure some of the participants will fill me in on the names of the tunes at the same time they give me a hard time for “YouTubing” these clips. Bill, John and I started playing together about thirty five years ago. Ann`s bass is a welcome addition and really fills out the sound, although the cheesy camera doesn`t do it justice. Not having done this for awhile, I hope I`m getting it right by uploading the video with the “explanation” last, in order that it will appear first. We`ll see…

Hasselblad vs. Leica?

Both I can totally not afford and probably the same for alot of us. But If you had the option of buying one. Which one would you buy. I think I would buy the new Hasselblad H3DII. (wow pricing for this is off the charts!.) But on the other hand I really like the classic look and feel of the Leica film cameras. So if you could buy your dream camera (it doesn’t have to be these two brands) what would you buy and what also with it would you buy. (Lenses, flash, covers, and so one)

Simply just wanting to see what everyones dream camera would be.

Remember its your DREAM CAMERA, MONEY is NOT a PROBLEM. Just go crazy with your idea.
We know its lighting and such. I am asking what your dream set and camera would be. and yes even down to the lights.

What photographic film should I buy if I’m shooting indoors using tungsten lighting?

I am soon to be doing a photographic shoot. I will be using ‘hot lights’ (tungsten lighting not flash). I know that if I just use normal daylight film, my photos will have a bad cast to them. But I am unsure what film and what ASA/ISO to use. Can you recommend any tungsten-balanced film that’s on the market? I have also heard that you can get a filter to put over your camera lens that helps (I have a Hasselblad 500CM). Any tips, advice and recommendations would be very helpful
