Obvioulsy the cost will be different…Im wanting to invest in a brand so I can expand accordingly. Im an amateur and dont know whats the best way to go about when my knowledge is soooo sooo limited. My main interest in Dance and People…so i understand the Shutter speed has got to be excellent….Im not clued up to whats great and whats not – though am trying…Ive talked to a few people…but their knowledge is also limited. I really dont want to be sold something thats not going to enable me to get the photos I want…any advice would be great. I am on a Budget…rangeing upto about 1 Grand…but am unsure as to what this can get me….I want to get a really good camera body…plus lenses etc. I know this is all abit vague…hence my asking for help…any particular brands or models etc would be great. Thanks!

Im aware that Hasselblad & Mamiya are that extra bit expensive and perhaps more than I need….
I will check out what I can get even if over budget abit – at the end of the day – if I can capture the frame and not lose the moment…and of course be able to shoot in low light…then Im half way there! Thanks again and any more advice always welcome….

Please let me know whether this is possible with a Nikon F75 35 mm film SLR Camera with lenses 28-105 and 70-300. These lenses do not have macro facilities.

I currently have a sony a200 with just the stock 18-70mm lens it came with… I’m looking to purchase probablly a macro and telephoto lens.. I don’t want to spend over 800 CAD (Canadian dollar) for both… I’m new to photography and I’ve been told you get what you pay for in lenses many of times… I can only afford the low grade lenses on my budget.. so my question is would i be better off buying a cheap sony lens or buying a old higher standard minolta lens…. Or any other suggestions?? I don’t want to put over tousands of dollars into lenses because it’s just a hobby of mine… maybe someday but I can’t afford that at the moment…

Choosing a photographer that you can afford within your budget is difficult, but if you set your priorities about what kind of photography you desire, that should make it easier. For instance, are you searching for a photographer with a lot of wedding experience? Have you looked at different photographed wedding portfolios to see what you like?

Choosing a romantic wedding photographer is different than seeking one who only does traditional photography. You know, the wedding photographs that have everyone lined up like schoolchildren on the church steps? Or photos that are so predictable that they become trite and hackneyed in the viewer’s eye even if they know the couple well? 

If you seek romantic shots, the locale is of the utmost importance of course. Imagine the shots that can encompass swans gliding in front of the wedded couple as they kiss gently? However, we’re not all able to have gliding swans, thus your photographer will need to be very creative to capture romantic shots for you therefore make sure that the photographer is familiar with the locale of your wedding.

Whatever the venue of your wedding, romantic wedding photography relies on the photographer. Some take more romantic shots than others, thus you will need to carefully examine wedding portfolios to see the degree of romanticism involved.

Of course romanticism means something different to everyone. What one couple considers romantic, the other may call sappy. Getting the most romantic shots that you desire means that you need to openly communicate with the photographer. Choose wedding pictures from their portfolio that you like, and perhaps even use other wedding photographer’s portfolios to pass along ideas to the photographer that fits your budget.

Inquire if you will receive only digital pictures, or printed pictures too? Some photographers will charge much less for digital only, and some will guarantee you a coffee table album for your memories. Communication is the key here too, but be careful if you are charged by the photograph. All of your wedding photos will of course be the kind you wish to keep, and you’ll go way over budget. 

Once you’ve found a number of photographers who suit your budget, you do need to spend some time with them. Just look at how much time you’ve set aside for all the other people involved in your wedding, the florist, the woman who made your wedding dress, the caterer, and you’ll realize that interviewing your photographer in person will enable you to choose the “right” one, and one with whom you are relaxed and confident to be with. After all, a photographer who does not like to work weddings will have that particular sentiment reflected in your photographs.

Photographers who are considered the most romantic are usually the photographers who can anticipate romantic moments. This is yet another important reason to meet with your photographer. Discuss it with them.

The act of choosing a romantic wedding photographer does not necessarily have to be extraordinarily expensive. Just be sure to choose photographers that are in your budget and only keep the special one who takes your kind of photography that you can relax with.

Planning a wedding on a budget is hard enough without having to pray that you have hired the right photographer. Being on a budget should not mean you need to sacrifice great pictures, the look of your wedding or the feel of the day. 3. See if you can get a discount for making one lump sum payment instead of making a deposit and then incremental payments.

4. Don’t be afraid to ask for a deal. The worst thing the photographer can say is no.

Be confident when you are asking for a discounted rate. Your posture and confidence level says a lot about you and just might be the winning factor for getting your budget wedding photography done at the price you can afford. Don’t be willing to compromise with your style either.

It’s your day, and no one, including the venders should try to change your mind about what you want. You have been envisioning your wedding day since you were knee high to a grasshopper. Don’t let anyone take your vision away from you.

The style you choose for your wedding pictures should not be a weighing factor in the price of them. For example, if you prefer to have an artistic style photography for your wedding, do not allow the photographer to talk you into traditional style photography in order for you to be able to have your budget wedding photography done. Some compromise is going to be necessary when you are trying to get your pictures for a smaller amount of money, but don’t be willing to sacrifice your overall needs and wants.

You already are looking at a decent amount of travel time when photos will not be taken. You also need to consider the extras you would like included for your package.

Depending on your particular photographer, you should be able to order a photo album, a few larger sized wedding photos and even have your wedding photos put on a DVD for your convenience. If any of these options are something you would like included in your wedding photo package you should discuss your needs with the photographer. Wedding photography packages vary as much as the photographers do. You just have to know what you want and how much you are willing to pay for it.
