Still Life Timelapse

Test animation of stills from Nikon DSLR, composed at 1080p 24fps. Was testing CameraRaw colour correction for an image sequence in After Effects. Also gathering some footage for chroma-keying later on.

Establishing Shot

The first shot in many sequences is the Establishing Shot that is designed to set the visual stage and draw the viewer forward into the subject, drama or story. Here is an establishing shot made with a Nikon D300 DSLR using its internal intervalometer at sunrise overlooking the Grand Canyon. QuickTime Pro facilitates the generation of movies from strings of still images and the Ken Burns effect in iMovie ‘09 makes panning across the QuickTime move easy and effective. The example is from the “HDSLR the billion things you need…” interactive eBook in which the movie pops up out of the page and plays in HD quality right on your computer. More about the eBook project at either digitalsecrets.net or hdslrreview.com.

Calibrating the EasyTag’s Built-in Compass

www.easytagger.ca Calibrating the EasyTag’s built-in compass is quick and just takes a few seconds. The compass must be calibrated because magnetic north (where a compass points) differs from true north (the top of a map). Magnetic declination varies depending on your location. If you’re more than 1000 miles/1600 km from the previous place you used the EasyTag, it should be calibrated to ensure a correct reading. Download a magnetic declination map from www.easytagger.ca and visit www.magnetic-declination.com for a declination calculation and more information about magnetic declination.

OneEyedDoll

@Renos : Awsome show from all the bands that night. Shot with my Nikon DSLR D90 and 7200 Nikor Lens…. So with the Nikor Lens it look pretty decent. The major short coming is that the audio is kinda blown out….
