Do Hasselblad Zeiss CF/CFI/CFE Lenses have distortion-free performance as good as Canon and Nikon’s?
I know Hassy Zeiss Glass is proffessional but I heard that their optical designs are old.
Is that true?
Are they really older than Nikon and Canon’s?
(I’m talking about distortion-free performance)
Mark, I meant..
IF given the same angle of view.
for example, compare the nikkor 50mm f1.4 to the Hassy CFE 80mm f/2.8
i need a listing of camera shops that buy camera’s, i have a Hasselblad 500c/m camera w/many lenses & access.
This is a professional photographers camera, ideal for any photography job. I also have 2 Mamiya camera’s, I just want to be sure they go to someone who is serious about photography.
Would you rather have a 6 megapixel canon ixus or a Hasselblad h3dii 50 megapixel with all the H-lenses?
Heres the rule:
If you choose the 6 megapixel canon ixus, you get to travel Europe
(rome, paris, london, scandinavia, madrid) for 2 months, Egypt for a week, China for 2 weeks, and a month in southeast asia visiting phucket thailand and boracay philippines.
If you choose the Hasselblad h3dii 50 megapixel and all the H-Lenses you DON’T get a free vacation.
How much should I expect to spend for a used Hasselblad 501 with 80mm lens and back?
What about a polaroid back? I am not looking for anything besides the 501, standard 80mm lens, a 120 back and a Polaroid back (all used)– I just want some sort of standard to go by before I shop around.

Hasselblad Lenses and getting Macro out of them?
I was just looking over specs for the Hasselblad lenses.
Note the minimum focusing distances of each lens:
40mm C = 20 inches
50mm C = 20 inches
60mm C = 21 inches
80mm C = 36 inches
120mm C = 36 inches
150mm C = 60 inches
250mm C = 96 inches
I want to make sure my thinking is correct on something.
It’s my understanding that a macro lens is defined as giving a 1:1 ratio
In other words just because a 50mm lens can focus on an object at 20 inches doesn’t mean it’s going to give a 1:1 ratio therefore it would be disqualified and incorrect to say that it is a macro lens….correct?
Can you get a 1:1 macro out of one of the wide angles…say…such as the 60mm listed above?
